Covid 19, Phase II - Restarting in our "New Normal"
Wow - it's hard to believe it has been 2 months of isolation and lifestyle changes. We have been working hard and trusting our health leaders, and through all of our hard work, we've come to this point where we can move forward and resume life and health care "closer" to how we previously enjoyed it. Perfect timing - with the sun coming out and heat building, no one feels like staying inside anymore! It feels like such a long time since I've seen so many of you. With our trying and difficult past 2 months, many of you may be struggling with your physical, mental or emotional well-being. I'd really like to help you move forward and regain your health. Please reach out as you need. I'm happy to announce that as of Wednesday May 20, I am resuming a more open clinic where you can book "regular" in-person appointments as you used to. We can resume previous treatment plans and start new ones face to face, not just by video or phone. Whether you've been waiting to get back to regular acupuncture, IV therapies, nutrient or homeopathic injections, or just continuing with your health journey, I'm here and able to work with you. That being said, we at Herald Street Health have been working very hard and taking additional steps to protect everyone: you, our staff, myself, and all of the loved ones in our bubbles. Here is what we've done:
Augmented cleaning and sterilization of furniture and equipment each day and between each client appointment
Additionally, we have removed all reading materials and toys (bring your own book/phone if you think you'll need to wait!)
Staggering days that practitioners are working.
We have minimized the number of practitioners who are physically seeing patients in the same area of the clinic on the same day. This will decrease contact between waiting patients and keep the waiting room and front desk clear.
We are requiring everyone to wear masks and perform hand hygiene for in-person appointments, myself included.
If you have a mask, please wear it.
If you do not, we have cloth masks that we are providing for $5 donation to the Rotary Club (for whom the seamstress is raising money).
We have hand sanitizer that we ask you to use upon arrival, or the washroom is there for you to wash your hands.
To guide physical distancing, we have the floors marked telling you where to stand, and we have removed most of the chairs from waiting rooms.
If you arrive early, there is a chair to sit on, but just 1! You can also wait in the courtyard or just arrive right on time.
I am going to continue providing the option of appointments via video conferencing and telephone if you cant or prefer not to come to the clinic. This will be ongoing.
If you are ill, if you live far away, or if you just feel like staying in your pyjamas - no problem. I'm available for you!
We ask that you PLEASE, do not come to the clinic if you or anyone that you associate with have a cough, fever or any other symptoms of Covid-19.
I will keep your appointment by video/phone if you want, but you will not be allowed to enter the clinic. This is for all of our safety. I'm sure everyone understands this.
If you don't have an appointment but are needing to refill supplements, we ask that, if possible, you call ahead so that reception can put them aside for you and prepare your invoice. This will minimize the amount of time you need to wait around.
Alternately, the online platform "Fullscript" can be made available to you, from which you can have supplements shipped directly to your door. You can discuss having this set up with me on your next appointment.
